“Brooklyn’s Finest”–Movie Review

“Brooklyn’s Finest,” was a film about corruption, greed, family, & choices.  The main characters in the film were tied to all four but in the end, had the opportunity to do the right thing.  Brooklyn’s Finest had three sub-plots which all had intriguing stories and ultimately played into the overall plot of the movie.  Those three sub-plots involved Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, and Richard Gere.  I want give it away completely, but the movie will probably be a bit off from what the previews were conditioning our minds to think.  In the end, everything came full circle with the 3 movies within the movie connecting.  At times, things were predictable and at times I was confused.  But all in all, this was a solid movie, but not one that I would have to see again.  If anyone checks it out, I would love to hear your thoughts on Brooklyn’s Finest.

Final Grade: B

In honor of the movie title, I thought this song was appropriate.

  1. The many messy deaths suggest that if crime doesn’t pay, neither does faith. But treat it like the raw Friday night fodder it is and you’ll be redeemed with your money’s worth.
