Lupe Fiasco: Lyrical Genius

Lupe Fiasco is one of the top artist in the rap game and also happens to be a personal favorite of mine.  The Chi-town representer (West Side) has been in the game since 2006 and has dropped 2 classic albums: “Food & Liquor and “The Cool”  Lupe also has several mixtapes that a lot of people slept on.  Today, our goal is to shed a little light on the side B singles that don’t always get the attention from the general public.  Below are some of the best songs from Mr. Fiasco’s albums and mixtapes that are certified classics and if listened to carefully, have deep meaning and motivation.

“American Terrorist” ft Matthew Santos

(Live Concert Performance) Please pay close attention to the lyrics.  I’m surprised {they} didn’t try to label Lupe Anti-American for this one.

“Coulda Been”

This is another one of my Favorites.  Really makes me think about where I could be had I not made some the decisions that I’ve made.  All I can say is that God is good!!!

This is just ill!  This song came from the early mixtapes.  Love this joint!

Another mixtape classic.

“Hurt Me Soul”  Featured on “Food & Liquor.”

The picture was perfectly painted!

“Conflict Diamonds”  Sorry Kanye, but the boy killed this one!

“Dear Fall”

Ok, that’s seven tracks.  I could do about 40 more, but I’ll fall back.  We definitely solute Lupe for all that he has and will do for the game.
