Two’s Day: Two Got The Jazz

Yes, yes y’all. Another Tuesday, another Two’s Day! And today we got the jazz (word to ATCQ)

Tune in. Zone out. Enjoy.

1. Jose James – It’s All Over Your Body

2. Robert Glasper ft. Bilal – All Matter

No Winners in War

On this day 11 years ago, America suffered one of the greatest tragedies in our history. In the matter of seconds, those terrorists demolished not just landmarks in our country, but the hopes and dreams of a nation. As we take the time to reflect and remember those that were lost, we must also remember that war is never the solution. War is the cause of division and destruction. What we need is unity. We need love. We need each other.

Today, take a moment to reflect. Say a prayer for the families that still feel the sting of that day. And after the silence breaks, tell someone that you love them.

Raheem DeVaughn ft. Anthony Hamilton, Chrisette Michele, Jill Scott, Algebra, Citizen Cope, Ledisi, Shelby Johnson, Dwele, Chico DeBarge, and Rudy Currence – Nobody Wins a War

Two’s Day: Two for the West

Today we head out West to the Left Coast – a region that has added so much to the culture. From legendary pace makers like Ice Cube to new school generals like Kendrick Lamar, the west has consistently maintained a certain level of dominance. And as the torch pass from one generation to the next, the music continues to evolve. The two joints that I’m rocking with right now are definitely more Pharcyde-ish than MC Eiht, but definitely West Coast!

Domo Genesis – Prophecy prod. by The Alchemist

Gangrene (Oh No and Alchemist) – Fly Brothers

Who’s on your West Coast playlist right now?
